World Press Freedom Day 2008

The UK National Commission for UNESCO, in partnership with the Press Freedom Network (which includes the NUJ), is delighted to invite you to a debate at the Frontline Club on the topic "New media is killing journalism" to mark World Press Freedom Day 2008.

The debate will take place on Friday, 2 May 2008, at the Frontline Club (13 Norfolk Place, London, W2 1QJ) from 10:00—12:30 (doors open at 9:30).

Confirmed speakers include:

Andrew Keen, author of The Cult of the Amateur: How Today's Internet is Killing Our Culture, and Nazenin Ansari of Kayhan Publishing (Iran/UK), President of the Foreign Press Association. Further speakers TBC.

The debate will be chaired by William Horsley, Chair of the Association of European Journalists.
