This year is the 400th anniversary of the birth of John Milton, one of this country's greatest defenders of a free press and upholder of an author's right to free expressionagainst censorship.
On 10th December, South Place Ethical Society in association with the Socialist History Society, will be holding a meeting on the theme of “Milton's Radicalism", with the poet's biographer and leading critic, Professor Thomas Corns, giving a lecture.
There will also be a poetry reading and discussion.
The event is at Conway Hall starting at 7pm. It is free and all are welcome.
