:The Oxford Programme in Comparative Media and Law (PCML) announces alecture at 17:30 on 19 May on ‘Freedom of Speech: the global challenge'. Thelecture will take place at thre Stanhope Centre for Comunications Policy Research in London. Mark Stephens oflaw firm Finers Stephens Innocentwill discuss recent trends in media litigation before regional tribunals in Europe and Africa.

The lecture will examine how regional case law can affect change at national level, as well as the potential impact of European Court of Human Rights experience on newer regional human rights regimes.
