The Campaign and the South East Region TUC's Creative and Leisure Industries Committee are organising a joint conference on 'The Future of Public Service Broadcasting'. The conference has now been postponed until the new year. Please check here for updates. Admissionwill befree but please register.

The conference will be exploring the future of public service broadcasting, national, regional and international campaigning for its support: it's funding; its challenges; its future; Speakers will include leading trade unionist in broadcasting, journalism, academics, campaigners and politicians. (Speakers to be confirmed)

There will be workshops on:

    * Funding off Public Service Broadcasting
    * Equal Opportunities and Diversity
    * International Public Services Broadcasting
    * Role of OFCOM
    * Use of Public Service Broadcasting in Education
    * Industrial Relations and casualisation of the industry
    * Training and skills in broadcasting
    * The challenge of unregulated internet television

The conference will be a campaigning and capacity building conference. It is aimed at trade unionist in the media sector, campaigners in the media, trade unionist who use the public service broadcasting, viewer groups, students of the media and academics.
