The Media and the Middle East - With veteran BBC and ITN Middle East expert Alan Hart

7.30pm, Wednesday 27 April Frontline Club
13 Norfolk Place
London W2 1QJ
020 7479 8960
off Praed Street, near Paddington station

In his television reporting days for ITN and then the BBC's Panorama
programme, Alan Hart was celebrated for his scoops, his expenses and
his special relationships with leaders on both sides of the many wars
and conflicts. He knew and covered the two great opposites - Golda
Meir, Mother Israel, and Yasser Arafat, Father Palestine. He
participated at leadership level in the secret politics of the search
for peace in the Middle East.

His talk will range over the events of his life, how they were
reported, the current uprisings and why he doubts the official story
of the 9/11 attacks.

The talk will be followed by an extended question and answer session.
There will be other events from 6.30 and after 9.00 details to be
confirmed. There will be a pay bar.
