Lobby of 10 Downing Street

This Saturday 31st January 12-2pm.

Called by Stop The War Coalition, CND and MAB

Media Workers Against the War will leaflet the BBC at Bush House (Aldwych), TV Centre (White City/Shepherds Bush) and Portland Place (off Oxford Street) on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week, backing the walkouts, supporting BBC staff and calling on the media unions to call national action.

If you can help on either of these days, at any time from 8.00am-9.30am, and at Bush House also from 12.30pm to 2pm, please reply to this email or phone 07801 789 297

What a brilliant response to Hutton! The walkouts show the government and Murdoch that BBC staff won't sit back and watch public service broadcasting destroyed. And the country is on their side. All the polls show a big majority thinkHutton got it totally wrong. Gavin Davies and Greg Dyke have rolled over without a fight. We need to help spread the walkouts and build the mood in the BBC to reject Hutton and fight Blair. Independent research has shown that, despite the best efforts of staff, BBC top brass made sure the BBC was the most pro-war of all the TV channels. But if Blair gets his way, it'll be a Fox News or a Clearchannel that set the agenda.
