Friends of Le Monde Diplomatique, the NUJ and the CPBF are pleased to invite you to the 2005 conference of the Friends, on Saturday, March 12th from 10am-5pm, Camden Centre, Bidborough Street, Kings Cross tube. Doors open at 9am.

Organised by Friends of Le Monde Diplomatique in partnership with the National Union of Journalists and Campaign for Press & Broadcasting Freedom.

This international conference focuses on the commercialisation of the media. Democracy relies on access to accurate information. Should the media be subject to market forces or treated as a public good to be safeguarded?
