CPBF film and discussion at Holmfirth Film Festival - 28 May

news |

Inside Job is a powerful documentary, narrated by Matt Damon, which delves deep into the banking and investment practices which led to the stock market crash in 2008. Through a series of interviews with some of the key figures he conveys the immense greed that permeated not just the banking institutions but also corrupted many of those who were meant to keep checks on the industry, including the media and economists.

The film, directed by Charles H. Ferguson is being shown at the Picturedrome as part of the Holmfirth Film Festival, West Yorkshire, at 1.00pm Saturday 28th May. Tickets cost £5.00 and can be booked online http://www.picturedrome.net

After the film there will be a discussion on issues raised by the film with Granville Williams from the CPBF and Paul Flowers, chair of the Coop Bank and Financial Services.
