Posted by NUJ news release

The NUJ, Bectu and Unite members at ITV will be on strike on Thursday 14 May. The strike will coincide with ITV's AGM and will affect TV programmes. The dispute is in response to a 2 per cent pay offer from the company. The strike will take place from 00:01 until 23:59 on Thursday 14 May.

Picket lines: There will be picket lines in Salford, Bristol, Birmingham, Nottingham, Leeds, Gateshead, Cardiff and Carlisle. For more details if you want to attend to show support, please email: campaigns@nuj.org.uk

London event: The union is asking London NUJ  members to attend the protest outside the ITV AGM on Thursday morning. We will gather at 10.00am outside the QEII Centre, Broad Sanctuary, Westminster, London SW1P 3EE.

ITV has acknowledged that the pay at the company is at least 4 per cent behind the cost of living and the current 2 per cent offer does not bring the workforce in line with the cost of living increases over the last 10 years. You can also share messages of solidarity and support online including the twitter hashtag #ITVstrike
