BBC open meeting

events |

The Campaign for Press and Broadcasting Freedom is holding this open meeting to discuss the next stages in the campaign.

6.00pm Monday 21 September 5th Floor, Headland House, 308-312 Gray's Inn Rd, London WC1X 8DP (nearest tube Kings Cross St Pancras).

The fight for the BBC's future is under way.

And so are the government attacks which threaten the broadcaster. Even before public consultation could begin on the renewal next year of the BBC's charter, John Whittingdale, Culture Secretary, announced the corporation had agreed to fund free TV licences for the over-75s at a cost of £650m a year and rising.

Come along with your ideas to build the campaign.

The meeting should discuss the issue of the broadcaster orchestrating attacks on the leader of her Majesty's opposition party in parliament.
