Communicating war: strategies, implications & ethics.

events | :A conference on war reporting is to be held at the University of Surrey, Guildford on 13 May. The event has been organised by The War and Media Network (http://www.warandmedia.org). The deadline for registration to attend the conference is 6 May.

This cross disciplinary one-day conference aims to explore the processes of communicating war, specifically the gathering, production and dissemination of information about war and conflict through the media. 

What are the strategic, ethical and consequential dimensions of these communication
processes for the media, for the military and for the political  organisation of war?
